At Kaver, when asked the public, the reasons of road accidents, public answer this way.

Binod Sapkota – “These days, huge number of road accidents is being occurred. We all are the reasons for the same like driver, passengers (travelers). On the way, passengers also should be to know how to walk on the way…”

Shreeram Mainali – “I blame 80 percent to the government because when the road is rough the vehicles PATTA (a sensitive part of the vehicle at the bottom of the engine that supports all other parts in the vehicle) will be broken, and the accident occurs; who takes the responsibilities there?”

As the above people said, due to narrow roads, competition of high speed, and the drivers are the main causes of road accidents. On Chaitra 5, when a passengers carrying bus was travelling from Dolakha to Kathmandu, on Araniko Highway, when fell in accident at Panchkhal, Keraghari, two passengers at the bus died on the spot. Above 36 people were injured in the accident. Also, on Chaitra 3, a motorbike heading from Kathmandu to Sindhupalchowk was collided with Aranoko highways’ supper bus, two people travelling by motorbike had died.


On Araniko Highway and B.P. Highway, there are growing trend of road accidents where these are the examples only. According to the police’s record, only in Kavre district, in fiscal year 2071/072, 18 people have lost their lives. Also, the road accidents have crossed hundred in numbers according to the record of the police. Only in the current fiscal year, more than 300 people have been injured in the road accidents.
