University of Copenhagen

The University of Copenhagen is the highest-ranked university in the whole Scandinavian region, at 69th in the QS World University Rankings 2015/16. Established in 1479, it is Denmark’s oldest institution and the second oldest in Scandinavia, after Uppsala University in Sweden. It is home to almost 41,000 students, including many international students, with four campuses, all of which are located in or around the capital Copenhagen. Most courses are taught in Danish, although there are a few in English and several in German.
