Maharjan, February 27, 2016 (Dcnepal) – To provide the access on the
education of three to four years of children, with the help of some
donor agencies childhood education has been started in governmental
level. But for the children of Bardiya same program has become a curse.
As
they did not have any classrooms in schools, students have been bounded
to study in a stable and kitchen of one of the man in the headquarter
Gullariya municipality. The teacher who has been teaching those students
said she has been teaching since 2066 BS. The teacher also added there
are no any houses for school but now one of the man has given this small
place of his stable to teach the students where he used to tie his
horses.
Before
they got this stable to teach the students they have been teaching
student outside. But now it is also becoming very difficult in stable to
teach as the house is in under construction as well as in the house
there are many members and also horses and goats.
There
are lacks of classrooms for the childhood education as well as even
female teachers are in labor exploitation going against International
Labor Organization (ILO) criteria though Government is staying silence
and unknown about the incident. The government is providing minimum
salary than of the criteria for those female teachers who have been
teaching childhood education.
Childhood
education teachers are teaching the children’s though they are busy in
their household works but also managing their time however they are
teaching the children but as the government is providing them minimum
salary they are suffering and are complaining that they have been in
labor exploitation.
